Starting Wednesday, January 10th, Alpha and Alpha Beyond will begin with a church family meal at 5:45pm with the programming starting at about 6:30pm. Over the past year, about 85 people have completed Alpha, and it's been a blessing. There was a lot of growth and personal connections. Please consider joining us for this life-changing experience.

Alpha is a series of sessions exploring the deeper meaning of life and the building blocks of the Christian faith. The format allows for open questions and discussion, without pressure or judgement. If you already believe, you can also benefit from this course. It can fill in the blanks where you still have questions, in order to reinforce your faith foundation, and you can share your experiences and knowledge with others in discussions. No person is perfect in his walk with God and there is always room to grow.

Each week will start with a meal in the Fellowship Hall downstairs. Eating together is a great way to encourage community and to get to know each other. After the first week, we encourage you to eat with your discussion group to enable you build up your relationships. After the meal, we will move upstairs to watch a video. Each video looks at a different question around faith and is designed to create conversation. We will then break up into small groups for the most important part of Alpha, discussion. This is your chance to share thoughts and ideas on the topic, ask questions, and simply discuss it in a small group. There’s no obligation to say anything, and there are no bad questions. It’s an opportunity to hear from others and contribute your own perspective in an honest, friendly, and open environment.

We hope you can come to Alpha and encourage you to invite a friend, or several friends.

Alpha Beyond is intended for those who have already completed Alpha. We will have two more sessions with videos from Nicky Gumbel and then we will move on to an eight-session series, "Follow", by Andy Stanley. After that series is complete, we will learn about prayer from Jim Cymbala, pastor of the Brooklyn Tebernacle Church
