Children's Ministries
Children's Sunday School
Zion's children's ministry leaders recognize the importance of leading children to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ. They also value the Bible as Truth and are dedicated to teaching how that Truth can be applied to everyday living. Their goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for children as they explore the wonder of God and seek to find their treasure in His Word.
Various Sunday School classes are available for children on Sunday mornings at 770 Zion Church Rd, Hamburg, PA 19526:
9:40 am Classes
- Infant Nursery (ages 0-2)
- Preschool (ages 3-Pre-K)
- Kindergarten & 1st Grade
- 2nd & 3rd Grade
- 4th & 5th Grade
-Middle School (Grades 6-8)
-High School (Grades 9-12)
NOTE: Our nursing/crying room (Room 202) is available during all services for parents to use. There is a TV with a livestream of the service playing.
Planet Shakers
Planet Shakers is our midweek program for students in Kindergarten through 5th grade. This children's program is part of Zion's Family Night. Planet Shakers is a time of engaging games and activities, upbeat music, silly skits, and delicious snacks. If you loved Z-World, you’ll enjoy Planet Shakers. Drop off and pick up is in the Fellowship Hall (church lower level). Hope to see you there!
Participants: Children in Kindergarten through 5th grade
Time: Wednesday evenings from 6:30 pm to 8:00 pm during the school year
Place: Zion's Church Fellowship Hall, 770 Zion Church Road, Hamburg, PA 19526 (directions)
*Wednesday night activities snow policy: If Hamburg Area School District is canceled for the day or has an early dismissal, there will be NO Wednesday night activities. If the weather is bad after school dismisses at regular time and we decide to cancel, we will announce it on our Facebook page.
Z-World
Held the last weekend in July
Z-World is our summertime two-day large-scale interpretation of Vacation Bible School, but bigger than you can imagine. We have exciting activities, such as a zip line, a 200' slide, and an oversized slip-and-slide. You'll experience live music and skits as your family learns about Jesus. Your family can optionally camp overnight on the church property. There is no cost for this event and all meals are provided. This event is for children age 3 through entering 6th grade and their families.
