Ways to Give

Online Giving

Online gifts can be debited automatically from your checking or savings account, or processed using your credit or debit card, as a one-time or recurring gift. When travel, illness, or other circumstances prevent you from attending services, this program will allow your weekly offerings to continue on an uninterrupted basis. We do not encourage using credit cards for giving unless you are able pay off the amount when your bill comes due.

Why Give?

It's a heart matter and a matter of trust. Giving is meant to be a joyful expression of thanks to God from the heart and not a legalistic obligation. The value of our offering is not determined by how much we give, but how we give. Money and church can be a touchy issue – but it doesn’t have to be. We don’t give because God needs our money, and we don’t give because the church needs our money. It’s much bigger than that. We give because God asked us to, and following through shows we trust Him. God knows your loyalty is found where your money is (Matthew 6:19-21). And because God wants to be first in our lives, he asks us to trust Him with our money.

For Christians, tithing (a word meaning ‘tenth’) is the starting point. Tithing is giving the first 10% of our income back to the local church. If you call Zion’s Church your home, we encourage you to give generously, knowing your money is being used to support the mission of Jesus Christ – both locally and around the world. The Bible says tithing is a reminder God is the supplier of everything. It teaches us to always put God first in our lives.
